A passionate rugby league advocate, Steven Johnson has been an integral part of the Ipswich Jets for over 30 years. Currently in the position of Chair of the Board, Steven has been a driving force in keeping the Jets as an Ipswich proud football team. Passionate about the community, Steven is always looking for ways to engage new demographics and isn’t afraid to try something new.

James LANDY
James LANDY
James has been involved with the Ipswich Jets since 1987 where he coached the Reserve Grade team under Tommy Raudonikis. James became a Board Member and Secretary of the Jets in 2007, where he shares his leadership, mentoring, knowledge, understanding and history of the Jets to the board and Club. James’s strengths are his ability to communicate to the young players of the Club and assist them to balance their sporting and life balances. James wants to ensure the Jets continue to open the door for many players and local people to have their skills and talents recognised. He also wants to ensure the Jets continue to foster rugby league and create new joint ventures with other sporting and community bodies.
Mark McMONAGLE
Mark McMONAGLE
Mark has been a Member of the Board for over ten years and has been a part of the Ipswich Jets for over 15 years. Mark holds the position of Treasurer for the Jets; he has held over 25 years’ experience as a Director for numerous boards in Australia. Mark’s strengths are corporate governance, commercial and business strategy and has a passion for helping communities. Mark values the status the Jets has in the community, being a not of profit organisation the Jets has great benefit and pride to the Ipswich Community, offering purpose and pathways to many young people.
Elizabeth Adams
Elizabeth Adams
Elizabeth also known as Lizzie, joined the Ipswich Jets board in 2018 after being a part of the Jets family for more than 10 years. Lizzie enjoys how as a club the Ipswich Jets is a very diverse and inclusive club for everyone involved. Whether it is a Coach, Player, Supporter, Parent or Sponsor the Jets is a very family orientated Club that has a culturally safe environment with great values. Lizzie brings a variety of skills to the Jets, from governance to community engagement her passion is to be involved and enhance the Club in any way she can.
Professor Emeritus John Cole
Professor Emeritus John Cole
Professor Emeritus John Cole OAM comes with specific expertise in community development and stakeholder engagement. He has over 30 years’ experience as a senior executive and board member in government, industry, academic and community positions. With vast experience across many disciplines, John brings a unique lens and a valuable set of skills to the Jets in areas like governance, strategy, and risk. He also has a creative eye for long term opportunities. Naturally collaborative, he has a long track record of outstanding stakeholder management, with the ability to identify key issues of relevance to various stakeholders and craft a narrative to inform, engage and influence. Originally a country boy from Murgon, he loves his rugby league and cricket, and these days looks for ways of giving back and helping others.
